Will an AI reading replace a human master?
No, and it is not trying to. What changes is the floor rather than the ceiling. A good reading used to require finding the right person, affording them and waiting. Now the ordinary case is answered well, and the hard case still belongs to a master.
What a master has that software does not
- Judgement about you specifically. A good shifu reads the room as well as the chart. They notice what you are avoiding, and what you are really asking underneath the question you brought.
- Lineage. Decades inside one tradition, and a teacher before that. Some of what they know was never written down.
- The authority to say something hard. A person can tell you the thing you do not want to hear, and take responsibility for having said it.
- Everything outside the chart. The room, the building, the date you are choosing, the faces in your family.
What changes when the floor comes up
Most people never had a good reading available to them. What they had was a cheap app with a guessed chart, an aunt with an opinion, or nothing.
Against that, a rigorously computed chart with a grounded, careful interpretation is a large improvement, and it is available at two in the morning in your own language for the price of a coffee. That is the honest claim. Not that it beats a master, but that it beats the alternative most people actually had.
Use Meridian to understand your chart, learn the vocabulary, and work out what you actually want to ask. Take that to a master when the question is big enough to deserve one. You will get more from the hour, because you will not spend it on the basics.
Where you should see a person
- A decision with real consequences: a marriage, a move, a business you are betting on.
- Anything involving a physical space. Feng shui of a home or office is site work.
- When you want someone accountable to you, who will follow up.
- When a reading has unsettled you. A person can hold that. Software cannot.
- Anything touching your health, your money or your safety. Those need a doctor, a licensed adviser, or the appropriate professional, and that is true of a master too.
What we will not do
Meridian will not predict when you or anyone else will die, diagnose an illness, give legal advice, or tell you to make a consequential decision. Those limits are deliberate, they are the same limits a responsible master keeps, and no amount of asking will move them.
